Preparation

My 2 oldest are backpacking the GRAND CANYON with me in the spring. Today we did a few miles in the Superstition Mountains on Peralta trail to start their training. It was an awesome day.

Recreation? Whats that?

I have been working a ton the last few weeks. Yeah I know, I'm a lucky dog. No adventures of late however, unless working 60-72 hours a week (12 hour night shifts) is considered a Marathon.

What qualifies a vehicle as "recreational"?

Answer: it has wheels.... and an awesome kayak on top.

Kayaking at Clear Creek

Adventurers in the making

This is not what it looks like. They are actually making ME jump! Ok, ok, your right. My 3 year old who is doing the flying starfish jump is a dead give away. But if you ask him today what his favorite part of going to Lake Powell is, he will say “CLIFF JUMPING… except the flying through the air part… and the going under water part”.

Anybody can be cool... But Awesome takes practice

Fact: this couple (Holly & Nate) is very awesome.
Holly is my wife. In an attempt to help our kids achieve Awesome, we make it a point to have adventure in our lives. We are continually trying to instill love, kindness and adventure into their habits. And yes, we always ride the scooter through black & white photos wearing church cloths.
